Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

In short: Quitt does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Receipt photos and everything read from them stay on your iPhone. Quitt has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads.

1. Who we are

Quitt is developed and published by arearun (“we”). Contact: support@arearun.jp.

2. What data Quitt collects

None. Quitt has no server, no user accounts, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The app does not connect to the internet. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

3. Data that stays on your device

Receipt photos you capture and the information read from them (merchant, date, amounts, tax, category, notes) are stored only in Quitt’s private storage on your device, protected by iOS data protection. We have no access to it.

Like any app, Quitt’s data may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your iOS settings. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us.

4. Camera

Quitt uses the camera only when you choose to scan a receipt. Photos are processed on your device and never uploaded.

5. On-device intelligence

Reading receipts uses Apple’s Vision framework and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) running entirely on your device. Quitt does not use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute or any cloud AI service. No image or text ever leaves your device for processing.

6. Purchases

Quitt Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the transaction; we do not receive your name, email address, or payment details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that transaction.

7. Exports and sharing

CSV and PDF files are generated on your device. They leave your device only when you choose to share or save them through the iOS share sheet, to the destination you select.

8. iCloud sync

The current version of Quitt does not sync data with iCloud. If we add optional iCloud sync in the future, it will be off by default, use only your private iCloud database, and this policy will be updated first.

9. Children

Quitt is not directed at children, and because it collects no data, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

10. Deleting your data

In the app, use Settings › Data to delete receipt images or all records. Deleting the app removes all Quitt data from your device.

11. Your rights

Under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and Japan’s APPI you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data that a company holds about you. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, or delete — your data is entirely under your control on your device. If you have questions, contact us at the address above.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
